User Agreement

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the "Expiry Notes" mobile application (the "App"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this User Agreement (the "Agreement").

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App and uninstall it from your device.

2. Description of Service

Expiry Notes is a mobile application designed to help users track and manage the expiry dates of various items including food, medicines, cosmetics, and other products.

2.1 Core Features

• Add and manage items with expiry dates
• Set up expiry reminders and notifications
• Organize items by categories and tags
• View expiry statistics and reports
• Export and import data

2.2 Service Availability

We strive to provide continuous service availability, but we do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times or free from interruptions.

3. User Responsibilities

3.1 Accurate Information

• You are responsible for entering accurate expiry dates and product information
• We are not liable for any consequences arising from incorrect information you provide
• Always verify expiry dates independently before consuming any products

3.2 Proper Usage

• Use the App only for its intended purpose
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or distribute the App
• Do not use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purposes
• Respect intellectual property rights

3.3 Device Security

• Keep your device secure and protected
• Use appropriate device locks and security measures
• Be responsible for all activities that occur on your device

4. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our data collection and usage practices are detailed in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into this Agreement by reference.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

The App and all its content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

5.1 License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with this Agreement.

5.2 Restrictions

• You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App
• You may not reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• You may not create derivative works based on the App

6. Disclaimers and Limitations

6.2 No Warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Accuracy of information
• Uninterrupted operation

6.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits or revenue
• Loss of data
• Health-related issues
• Business interruption
• Personal injury

7. Updates and Modifications

We reserve the right to:

• Update or modify the App at any time
• Add or remove features
• Change the user interface
• Modify this Agreement with notice

7.1 Automatic Updates

The App may automatically update to ensure you have the latest features and security improvements. You can control update settings through your device's app store settings.

8. Termination

8.1 Termination by You

You may terminate this Agreement at any time by uninstalling the App from your device and ceasing all use.

8.2 Termination by Us

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, if you breach this Agreement.

8.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, all rights granted to you under this Agreement will immediately cease, and you must stop using the App.

9. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services such as:

• Google Analytics for usage analytics
• Firebase for crash reporting and notifications
• App stores for distribution and updates

These services are governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

10. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be resolved through appropriate legal channels in the applicable jurisdiction.

11. Changes to This Agreement

We may update this Agreement from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:

• Posting the new Agreement in the App
• Sending you a notification through the App
• Updating the "Effective Date" at the top

Your continued use of the App after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Agreement.

12. Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
